Cali Day 1: Versatile Pieces | Gina Chong
So we made it to Cali!
I was naively expecting to be greeted with palm trees on both sides of the road and rows of bright houses all with pools. Instead I was surrounded by cows and rolling green hills. I almost felt like I was in my native Upstate NY. Hubby kindly reminded me that we were in Northern Cali :)
I'm loving it.

Here is my Cali Day One outfit:

The skirt is from Kosher Casual. It's a modest clothing site with amazing quality basics, check it out here. I chose the denim skirt, loving the fact that I wouldn't have to lower the hem or sew up a scandalous slit in the back. But I got it and also surprisingly fell in love with the adjustable waistband. It makes it so that I can easily wear it at my hips or higher at my natural waist, pretty cool. And I bet it would come in handy if I ever decided to have a baby too (lots of pressure from the in-laws haha!). Anyways, it's super versatile as well as the rest of their stuff. And did I mention I got a Bazooka gum from Israel with the order?? Awesome.

P.S. Also craving their workout leggings; and this basic black dress would look so pretty with some statement jewelry.

Blouse: J.Crew (similar, also love this jeweled one)
Skirt: Kosher Casual c/o
Sandals: Nordstrom Rack
Hat: J.Crew Factory
Belt: Michael Kors via Neiman Marcus Last Call
Bag: Michael Kors via Piperlime

    1. Lol. So we are in Fairfield, between San Fran & Sacramento. Thanks for the recommendations! I wanna set up a trip to visit those and look for fabric stores too, it's so exciting having so many things to do now that we live near a city again!!
