Japan Part III | Pink Wings
Hard to squeeze almost 2 weeks in Japan into only three posts, but I did it so as not to flood my blog with too many travel posts. Plus we were so tired by the end that we were doing significantly less picture-taking ^^

I gotta say that my favorite part of our touring isn't pictured but it was when we stayed at a hot springs hotel on our way to Niigata. They gave us summer kimonos to wear, two extravagant Japanese meals, and the hot springs were gorgeous and so relaxing. You just can't beat an outside bathhouse on a beautiful hillside with a cute Japanese girl acting as your personal assistant. Try it if you get a chance, it was my fav.

Taking a ferry to the island Miyajima & delish ramen in Kyoto

Hubby lookin' handsome in the rain & our cook at the Tsukiji fish market

Eki bento (subway station lunch box) & 1000 cranes in Hiroshima

Hubby pouring water over his grandfather's grave while his grandma prays

Feeding the ravenous deer. I had to stop because they kept trying to eat my shirt!

This one was a cutie.

Took a break from the rain to eat at one of the fish market stalls

Bamboo forest & a beautiful view

The floating gate at Miyajima

  1. Are those deer at Miyajima something? I think I was more scared of them than they of me!

    1. :) No those ones are at Nara. There were a few deer in Miyajima and they were pretty docile but there were hundreds in Nara so yeah they are pretty crazy!

  2. I LOVED the deer at Nara! There was this one old man who I believe went often, because the deer would follow him despite him not feeding them. I watched them for a bit, and one rascally deer found his hidden stash in his pocket! I wish I could go back. It looks like you had so much fun!!!

Btw, you boop'ing the nose of that deer makes you look like Snow White haha

  7. Gina you look so pretty! That picture with the deer is precious.

Did you guys do the early morning auction at Tsujiki? What activities (besides eating fresh fish of course) do you recommend doing at the fish market?

    1. Oh thank you! Of course I only picked out the better pictures though...^^
And we thought about doing the early morning auction but eventually decided it wasn't worth it because it's at 4am and after that nothing opens until 9am so we would have just been sitting around for hours...and unfortunately I can't give any more recommendations because it was raining cats & dogs that day so that's about all we did was eat & look around.
